The Route

This trail is completely off road. Running from Hell's Mouth, you will start on some shaley ground which will quickly lead into soil/mud (depending on the weather) This continues for about a mile before you join the gravel/hardcore path created by the National Trust for ease of access. You follow this until you reach the car park at Basset's cove. The coast path then returns to a mix of soil/mud and grass. The double dip at Carvannel Downs is a mix of stone and shale. You make the turn at Western Hill and follow the coast path back to Hell's Mouth
